Because the technology used in the US and Europe differs, you must ensure you have an international telephone if traveling from the US. You can easily purchase a pay-as-you-go phone at the airport or any significant train station if you cannot bring your phone with you. Also, European sim cards are widely available and are compatible with all EU nations due to the elimination of roaming.
